Production technology

Weaving and knitting: The weaving unit of the company covers 7000m² and includes more than 150 weaving looms, of which 50 are jacquard looms. As well as weaving looms, Gevaert also has several knitting machines.

Finishing: After the weaving or knitting process, the webbings need to be finished to obtain a nicer handle and look. To achieve this, Gevaert uses both pad-steam or pad-roll machines. We are also able to dye our webbings with a modern continuous dyeing machine. Transfer printing is possible on 2 machines.

Conditioning: Most of our products are wound up on rolls or spools. However, if required,the webbings can be packed Vrac (loose in boxes) or zig-zag in boxes.

Transfer printing: Next to normal heat transfer printing Gevaert now also uses a new digital printing technique. This offers the possibility to print on different types of webbing with a lower production minimum, without development costs and with a higher resolution.
